A day of thanks

Good day, amazing friends. I know you hail from all over the globe, but here in the U.S. we are celebrating Thanksgiving Day. With a rich history and a wonderful tradition of good food and grateful hearts, I wanted to take a minute to stop by this blog and encourage you to find reasons to be grateful in this season.

While I know many of you struggle to see the good in your daily lives, the gift of gratitude allows us to see that God is involved in each of our stories. He is, indeed, Emmanuel – God with us.

So count your blessings today. And while you are counting, see how many things you can be grateful for in your husband. Our words shape our perspective. So shape yours by finding the good things in the man you have been given. Try to come up with at least 15 – dig deep. Then share them with him and see how powerful they really are.

If you haven’t heard of her, you really should check out Ann Voskamp’s book One Thousand Gifts – it will change the way you see your life. Or listen to this sermon on gratitude by John Piper. Whatever you do, have a wonderful day today & a great weekend! I will be back on Monday answering the question, “Am I at fault for my husband’s lower drive?”

Happy Thanksgiving!
